Lyn Asanas is the ESI Manager & Systems Administrator for KIRBY & KIRBY LLP. In that role, Lyn is responsible for the overall management of the Firm’s IT systems and providing electronic litigation support to the Firm’s clients.
With the rapidly expanding use of eDiscovery, Lyn is involved in all aspects of case preparation, from electronic discovery to the preparation of a client’s trial exhibits and other electronic trial presentation materials. Her responsibilities include document review and quality control, processing/converting hard copy documents to electronic media, creating/managing client databases, importing and exporting metadata and load files, and data extraction.
At her former employer, Kirby, Noonan, Lance & Hoge LLP, Lyn was first promoted to facilities manager and later promoted to ESI Manager/Litigation Support. She has vast experience in the discovery process and trial preparation and presentation. Lyn used to be a Document Analyst for a local litigation company and then joined Document Technologies Incorporation (DTI) as a Data Analyst and shift supervisor.
Lyn is certified in Concordance, the Firm’s document management software, and is knowledgeable in multiple litigation support software products, including Ipro’s Escan It and Eclipse. She continues to improve upon her impressive skills through continuing education and certifications in the eDiscovery field.
